Dear Reader,
First and foremost, I want to wish you a happy, healthy new year! May it be filled with laughter, love and success in all that you do.
With all the buildup, it feels like 2012 has been a long time in coming, doesn’t it?
We will experience the end of the Mayan calendar this year (unless we have already experienced it, depending on which faction you listen to) which will mean a lot – or very little, again depending on which faction you listen to.
Personally, I don’t know what is going to happen this year in terms of the Mayan calendar, or otherwise. I do know that we are living in extraordinary times, and are most likely experiencing bigger shifts as a species than we can see right now.
Last year, I focused in my posts on creating a “Year of Excellence” in 2011. For those of you who are just joining me now, and for those who want to review, you can see those posts in the Year of Excellence category on the right side of this page.
In my last post of the year, I referred to 2012 as a year of transformation, and I do believe that is true, as much as we are willing for it to be so – both on an individual and on a societal level. Penney Peirce, an intuitive based in California, suggests that we have left the information age and are entering the intuition age.
I agree.
We have all seen and experienced an explosion of information at our fingertips unlike any in history. We know that the phenomenon is here to stay. As we continue to adapt to this new world, we are becoming better at recognizing the huge benefits as well as the huge pitfalls in being able to access all this information at any time, from anywhere.
We are being called on as never before to look within, discover who we really are and what is most important to us, and act on those discoveries. In other words, yes we can gather libraries of information to consult – now what are we going to do about it?!
Really, we are being called on to find a whole new way of living.
In some of my posts last year, I talked about achieving your goals for 2011. Yes, goals are important. There is a time and place for them. But there is a vast world waiting beneath the language of goals, planning and action steps, and that world is accessed by our intuition.
I believe, along with Penney Peirce, that we are moving into a time when it is crucial for us to engage the intuition we all have, in order to access our deepest feelings, longings and wisdom – and share what we find with the world. The inspired wisdom we bring forth is capable, in a way that rational thought alone is not, of providing the deep individual and global transformation we all long for.
This year, dear reader – let’s not hold back.
I honor your loving heart,
John
