Dear Reader,
I am writing in the final hours of January – and in between snow storms here in Maine! It seems like the snow gods have finally woken up – but that’s for another post. Mostly, I am amazed that January is nearly complete, and that February awaits when I wake up in the morning.
Do you have your vision for 2015 yet?
If you do, I hope you are referring to it often, both for inspiration and for guidance to help you stay focused, to help you prioritize and return – again and again – to the things you value most. Sometimes though, a vision in its entirety can be difficult to refer to quickly, say if you are in the middle of running errands.
That’s why, each year, I get quiet, open my mind to insight, and find a one word theme for the year.
- It should be a word that aligns with and can represent my vision.
- It should inspire me.
- It should be memorable.
- It should be grounded in what is most important to me in my life now.
- It should represent what I want to explore and experience in the year ahead.
This year, my one word theme is – FREEDOM.
That theme makes me smile. That theme is connected to my path this year. How it makes me feel is just as important as how it relates to my vision. My next step is to visually represent it where I can see it often – on my screensaver, or on a sticky note near my desk. Maybe I will incorporate the photo I have chosen for this post…
Your turn, dear reader! What is your theme for 2015?
Don’t think about it too much, despite all those bullet points up above. In fact, don’t think about it at all; instead, dream it, vision it, manifest it intuitively. Or, possibly, allow it to find you.
And then claim it.
If you would like to share, leave a comment and let us know what came to you!
I honor your loving heart,
John
