Dear Reader,
Want to give your intuition a real boost? Here’s what you need to do….
Get into action!
Wait, you say, isn’t that downright – counter-intuitive? Don’t we access our intuition by getting quiet, by being still?
Let me explain. I often refer to life as a dance, and your partner is the universe. If you are standing still, how will the universe know that you want to dance??? And how will it know what kind of dance you want to do?
To give and receive signals, you need to be in motion. Then the dance can flow. You can lead and be led. For example, if you are trying to figure out what to do with your life, at some point you need to take action to receive good guidance. If you just sit around waiting for insight, you may wait for a long, long time. Trust me.
If you are trying to create a life that you love, you must move toward what you love, even if it is a teeny, tiny step. The universe will respond. And then you take another teeny, tiny step – and the universe responds again, maybe with a little information, or by helping you meet a person you need to talk to, or getting the right book into your hands at the right time…
Then you need to pay attention and respond. That’s what a good dance partner does. Keep moving, taking action, and if you end up in a corner – dance in a different direction! But always, always, move toward something you love.
When you get into action, and it’s right action, doors do open. Things start to happen. Yes, sometimes it helps to be still, to meditate, visualize, ask for guidance – whatever it is you do to access your inner wisdom – but only enough to keep you on track for your next inspired action. In other words, sometimes “no-action” can be the right action to help you pay attention and respond in the dance.
So don’t let yourself become paralyzed. Even if you feel stuck in life, find one little thing that gives you joy – try a new recipe, buy fresh flowers, take a walk past a pet shop window – and act. Then pay attention – to your feelings, to your thoughts, to signals from the universe – and act again.
And allow the dance to unfold.
I honor your loving heart,
John
