Dear Reader,
This week marks my third year of blogging about intuition and consciousness here at Intuitive Cartography. As I look back, I see a journey in these posts through the inner landscape of being human – and an exploration of what our inner gifts can contribute to the outer world.
I am passionate about the importance of aligning inner with outer; too often we humans have paid the price of ignoring one or the other. We are evolving into a species that honors both in a genuine way – even though that evolution is sometimes messy, and may feel slower than we might like.
Our intuition plays a crucial role in that process.
Edgar Cayce, a famous trance channel of the 20th Century, often known as the “Sleeping Prophet”, defined intuition as “knowing from within.” Cayce developed his intuition not as a trick but as a path to truth.
Truth is powerful and yes, your intuition does lead you there. It leads you to the truth of who you really are. Some would call this truth your essence, or your soul nature – but whatever you call it, once discovered it allows you to share your brilliance with the world.
Intuition includes more than just “knowing.” Intuition calls for a powerful voice to bring it forth, and a willing pair of hands to act on it. Intuition not acted upon robs the world of great treasures.
So why do many of us not recognize our intuition, or if recognizing it, hesitate to act on it?
Is it because we don’t yet fully accept the existence or importance of intuition as a society, or perhaps because we get distracted too easily by all the peripheral noise around us to focus on it? Our species is still young, after all. We are still struggling to find the balance between head and heart.
Dear reader, I am so looking forward to the next three years of blogging about intuition, because I have a feeling we ain’t seen nothin’ yet! Intuition is becoming more widely accepted as a legitimate topic of discussion, a focus of research and a skill to learn. I still remember how amazed I was when I first discovered that I could actively improve my intuition and call on it when I needed it. Now I am on a mission to encourage as many other people as possible to do the same.
Why? Because the world needs more heart, and more wisdom.
Our intuitive voice is the channel for both.
I honor your loving heart,
John

Just curious about how the number three plays into all this. I know your back ground in nuemberology …. Posted on the third month? Six, 2012?
John
I swear there was no plan to post this on a particular date! But thanks for reminding me of the numbers. Since the number three is often the number of creativity, , I would say… my third year of blogging would be a good year to be creative with my posts!
