Dear Reader,
Early on in this series, I expressed a desire not to have a theoretical discussion about the soul, but instead to focus on how to live as a soul in this world. So – what does a fully expressing soul look like in everyday life?
First and foremost, a fully expressing soul does not necessarily fit our idea of perfection. Does a fully expressing soul still get experience anger, frustration or other negative emotions? Most likely. But a fully expressing soul, does not get consumed by those emotions. The fully expressing soul will instead acknowledge the emotion, feel it, and at the appropriate time look for the opportunity for growth and transformation in the emotion.
Here are some helpful characteristics of a fully expressing soul. This portrait is not necessarily something to strive for, but something within you waiting to come out as you open and allow it. That’s a big difference. So here we go!
A fully expressing soul:
- is self-accepting of all its aspects.
- is attentive, patient and confident.
- is vibrant and enthusiastic about living.
- gives and receives with equal ease.
- feels, acts, celebrates, reflects, lets go and moves on.
- senses the flow of energy and consciously works with it.
- is balanced in body, heart, mind and spirit.
- is aligned in thought, word and deed.
- is honest because it is free, with nothing to hide and no agenda beyond working for the good of all.
- consistently makes inspired choices, representing it’s – and the Universe’s – most heartfelt desires.
- is love, expressed in it’s own unique way.
All of this is who you really are!
If some of these aspects feel far removed from your experience right now, don’t freak out. Remember that every aspect I have described is already somewhere deep inside you waiting to come out. The more you learn to pay attention to your soul awareness, moving away from old beliefs, habits and disempowering actions and moving toward inspired, heart-felt ways of being and acting in the world, the more these aspects will come out on their own.
Are you ready? Let the journey begin!
I honor your loving heart,
John
