Dear Reader,
Recently I was sitting with a group of teachers and staff in a local school, just chatting about everyday things. One of the teachers said she had heard that sales of three things had increased so much that the overall economy of Great Britain had improved significantly. Two of those things were mobile phones and ipads. Then she said: “Can you guess what the third thing was?”
We all looked at each other. Somebody said: “Well, it must be something very different from mobile phones and ipads…” One teacher gave a half-hearted guess, perhaps something like cigarettes.
I suddenly turned to the teacher who told the story and said: “Wellies!”
For my American readers, Wellies are high rubber boots you wear in mud and hard rain that are popular here in the UK.
The teacher responded with a shocked smile, and several seconds of silence. I honestly expected her to tell me that I must be joking.
Instead, she finally said, still with the shocked smile: “You’re right.”
The shocked smiles travelled around the group – except for me of course, because I always celebrate my intuition. My response was “YES!” accompanied by a fist pump. Somebody said: “I’m so jealous you knew that.” Keep in mind that I was the only American in the group, and still learning about British culture, so Wellies are not part of my everyday conversation.
Here’s how I knew.
As I was sitting there wondering what the answer could be, my mind grew still. Then, I had a feeling I can only describe as an empty sphere (my brain, maybe?) being filled from all directions with pure thought energy. As the energy converged in the center of the sphere, it materialized in the word “Wellies.”
Yes, the feeling of your intuition in action can be that clear and that specific, but it often does take training and practice. That’s not the only form my intuition takes; there are many others, but on that particular occasion how I experienced it.
Dear reader, how does your intuition materialize? I invite you to start paying attention, and see what you notice. The more you pay attention and the more you notice it in action, the more you can use it when your want to – and count on it being accurate.
Wellies.
Using your intuition can be so much fun!
I honor your loving heart,
John
